Seth's on a Mission

This is Seth. Seth is going on a mission to Louisville, Kentucky for the next two years. Seth wanted photos before he leaves. Any questions?

End of the Semester Fun!

Welp, the semester is roundin' up and my color photography class final was due today. Instead of formating my photos to fit one theme,  I went out and shot several different subjects. A few classy wine photos, one of my feminist friend Rachel, another of my sports fan friend Seth and, of course, Tausha. It gave me the opportunity to experiment with some different lighting and expand my horizon. Let's hope that summer brings in some good stuff too!

It's Tausha!

So, for those of you who know Tausha then you know that she's a pretty cool girl. I asked her if we could go down to a little duck pond right by BYU campus and she said that it would indeed be "stellar." This is her story:

Back in the 951

Over my spring break I had the opportunity to go out to California to see my dork brother perform tuba for his senior recital up at Fresno state (which was an amazing show!). While out there, I went to Laguna beach for a day with my cousin Neil to catch us some fish...too bad we only caught sea weed. I also made my way through some of the beautiful orange groves in Riverside. Victoria ave. has never looked so pretty.

Ladies of Utah County

This past week I had the pleasure of shooting a couple of my lady friends (who weren't too shy about being in front of the lens). Kim (blonde) is actually used to it, as she's on television every week with BYU news casting. Averi (who isn't shy at all either) was more than willing to go down to Utah Lake and add to the beauty of the area. Enjoi!

Cold Utah Nights

Well, I took some time to shoot some friends for another one of my class assignments, which was using mixed lighting on a subject. As many of you may already know, Utah gets COLD at night. While shooting Carson (against the wall) it was about 20 degrees out, Elric (lit by the cars) it was 16 and Archie (with the guitar) a whopping 12! If my wife Claire (straight outta' Montana) saw me writing this she'd call me a pansy!

A New Year, A New Semester

Well, to most people, January means a new year but to me it means a new semester at UVU. Luckily, the arts program didn't TOTALLY let me down this semester and I was able to get into some of my required classes (like color photography). Here are a few shots I took to demonstrate different usages of color.
